Out and About--GlamAmor Girls at AOC

This week was special because I got to spend time with some new girl friends who are also fans of GlamAmor!  I met up with Michelle, Cindy Ann, and Courtney at AOC, a sleek little wine bar on 3rd Street in West Hollywood. It was my first time to AOC, but I was already a fan of the ambience and food served at Suzanne Goin's other restaurant, Lucques. Suzanne is known for high quality as an alumna of Chez Panisse, the famous Alice Waters gourmet restaurant that led the world in the philosophy of growing your own produce, shopping local, and creating cuisine with only whole and organic ingredients.

That quality was apparent here at AOC as well, but now it was found in the small tapas style portions. We enjoyed a lovely array of selected cheeses, olives, almonds, dates, fresh baked bread, fingerling potatoes, and fresh summer tomato salad. All were wonderful accompaniments to whatever wine we might be drinking, which was varied due to the fact that they give you the opportunity to really sample their wine cellar with half-glasses. All of our choices were superior thanks to AOC's knowledgeable and patient wait staff.

It was a perfect place to get to know one another. Michelle arrived wearing one of her GlamAmor dresses and looked picture perfect. It's like the dress was made for her and she accessorized it with even more vintage. Cindy Ann wore vintage to AOC, too, and shared a pic from another night in her GlamAmor dress. Now Courtney's primed and ready to come over and check out the GlamAmor racks for herself. Lots of fun girl talk and I can't wait until we get together again. We had a great time!

Now that says summer:  1960s purple/orange/red/white cotton dress, 1960s white leather handbag,
white Guess platform peeptoe slingbacks, delicate dangling pearl earrings (found at a vintage shop)

In addition to all the color, the vintage fabric even has a floral pattern embossed in the cotton

My 1960s white leather purse that I can wear with almost everything.
Michelle's ladylike 1950s black rayon purse.

Dress by GlamAmor:  Michelle pretty in pink in a 1960s tweed dress with inverted front pleat, 1950s black rayon purse,
black stiletto pumps, stack of silver bangle bracelets, silver earrings

Cindy Ann (in a vintage jacket) and Courtney arrive and peruse
the extensive menu and wine list...cheers to spending time with the lovely ladies!

Afterward, Cindy Ann sent me the photo of her dressed in one of her GlamAmor dresses. The one she chose to wear is a gorgeous 1950s black wool dress. Look at those cap sleeves and the two delicate bows tied at her hips...you have to love vintage for its details. Its fit is also amazing. Cindy Ann is very slender, and the cut and darting of this dress really enhance her curves. And I love how she mixed it with those black strappy summer espadrilles! How great does she look?
