Out and About--Closing Party for ZenBunni

One of the reasons that I love living in Los Angeles is the depth of style here.  Contrary to popular belief, there is not just one look that defines LA, but many many different ones.  Though you could broadly identify different styles by some of the cities in this metropolis--Venice, Malibu, Topanga Canyon, Hollywood, Silverlake, Long Beach, and so on--that is only the beginning and you will find individual style in every area.  This is true whether we're talking about fashion, graphic design, interior design, or architecture.  The people and places here truly continue to inspire me.

On Sunday, I was invited by my cousin, Emily, to celebrate the closing of her friends' boutique on Main Street in Santa Monica. ZenBunni was a feast for the eyes--from the store itself to the friends who dropped in to say goodbye.  After six years of selling the most decadent homemade chocolate and their special finds from around the world, Zen and Bunni decided to close up shop.  However, there is a happy ending to the story...their popular chocolate company will continue from their base in Topanga Canyon, and the Main Street location is transitioning into a vintage boutique run by their friends.  I can't wait to check out that new store, Beau & Aero. The stylish will continue to come here, I assure you.

There was a lot of wonderful energy in the shop as everyone met up with friends and enjoyed the gorgeous sunny Sunday...
