To kick off the collection, I selected my most popular silhouettes to start with--a 60s sleeveless sheath, a 60s shortsleeve shift, and a 50s sleeveless swing dress. I chose these not only because they're my favorites to wear, but also because these shapes work on just about every body type. Examples of the silhouettes are shown below.
Of course you can expect to see a lot of inspirational color in the GlamAmor Originals line. I'm also going to focus on fabrics that are wash and wear, wrinkle resistant, and will move comfortably with you throughout the day. And as is the case with most of my GlamAmor Vintage collection, I want these to be dresses that can move from day to night...you can wear them to work and then transition easily to your evenings out.
The plan is to do just a small test line of samples to start. You'll be able to order your size and it will be handcrafted for you. I have great people working with me, so orders should be able to be fulfilled quickly.
I'm hoping to be able to show samples of the first GlamAmor Originals along with the entire GlamAmor Vintage collection at the party at Barracuda on Melrose next Saturday night. An invitation will be sent out this weekend with all the details.
The GlamAmor pop up store will be at Barracuda from November 19th through the 21st. Hope to see you there!
