Yesterday I spent the day out in Burbank doing the Caskey Lees Vintage Clothing & Textile Show. Known for the quality of its vintage, the event brought out many fans despite the weekend's Halloween holiday. Especially astute shoppers, including the fashionable Dita Von Teese, even arrived early to be able to select from the very best merchandise.
Before things really kicked off, I walked the grounds and around the room where GlamAmor was situated so that I, too, could appreciate some of the vintage clothing and accessories offered at the show.

It's always interesting to see what GlamAmor pieces catch the eye at each show. One of the more popular items this time was the late 1960s orange wool longsleeve shift that I bought just a couple weeks ago. Don't you love it? In addition to it being that fabulous orange color, I'm guessing its popularity had to do with Gwenyth Paltrow being photographed at the recent Women in Hollywood event wearing an eerily similar Calvin Klein. ...the 1950s gold metallic brocade,
and 1960s ivory eyelet sleeveless shift in addition to the other colorful coats and dresses.
I had such sweet neighbors at the show, including Colleen Tutt, Luci Lawrence, and Arlene Haasis
who all had great vintage and were veterans of the show. Thanks ladies!
Two of my favorite guys were also in yesterday's show. Richard Wainwright (above) and Scout's Joey Grana (below) are co-hosts of the upscale "A Current Affair" vintage show at the Cooper Design Center. GlamAmor is in next month's show, so be sure to come downtown December 10th and 11th to do a little holiday shopping!

I'm so sad I missed the show. I have seen so many great pictures on various vintage blogs. How exciting to spot Ms. Dita Von Teese. She has such great style. Hope I can catch you at the next show!
When the guy that gets you coffee doesn't count, that's when you know you are out of your league....good luck. You will need it in this business.

Hi Joe! Don't take it personally. I only had a couple shots of you and they were right in front of the bright window, which unfortunately virtually erased you from the shot. You and Benny were awesome and couldn't have done it without you. See you next time and thank you!
