You're invited! Presenting HISTORY OF FASHION IN FILM 1920s at Annenberg Beach House 3/22

Back by popular demand!  I'm thrilled to announce that I will be returning to the Annenberg Beach House to present an extensive 6-part series on the HISTORY OF FASHION IN FILM 1920s - 1980s.

Tuesday, March 22nd
THE STYLE ESSENTIALS: HISTORY OF FASHION IN FILM 1920s

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Guest speaker
Annenberg Beach House
Santa Monica, CA

If you love style in the movies, you are invited to learn all about THE STYLE ESSENTIALS: HISTORY OF FASHION IN FILM. THE STYLE ESSENTIALS represent iconic costume design from the 1920s to the 1980s that immediately impacted fashion at the time the films premiered and continues to influence design today. There will be one presentation per decade from the 1920s to the 1970s and 1980s.

The first talk on March 22 focuses on the style icons from the earliest days of Old Hollywood through the 1920s—including Gloria Swanson, Clara Bow, Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo, and Louise Brooks.  Each presentation will include stills from the movies along with images from today's fashion accompanied by a conversation about film history, costumes, costume and fashion designers, and fascinating backstories of the stars.

Event is FREE to the public, but you must RSVP to reserve your seat in order to attend.

To see the date and details of the rest of the HISTORY OF FASHION IN FILM series, visit the GlamAmor Events page for more information.

The venue is perfect for the presentation since this is the former beachfront estate of William Randolph Hearst and actress Marion Davies, who was at the social center of Old Hollywood from its very inception.  The greatest style stars of all time, including those who will be discussed in this series, stayed and played at the Beach House.  The original Guest House and pool still stand.
