Out and About--Sunday Brunch at Royal/T

This was such a fun-filled weekend.  Sunday was my friend Shane's birthday and I was invited to brunch with her at Royal/T in Culver City.  To kick off the celebration, she received this 1950s ivory silk dress from GlamAmor as a gift from her dad.  She had tried it on at the GlamAmor party a week or so ago, and it just fit her perfectly.  She really looked wonderful in it and we all knew it needed to be hers.  What I love is watching her accessorize it in ways that make it completely her own.

Ladies who Brunch:  1960s brown and white polkadot knit dress, 1960s lizard frame bag,
chocolate Nine West peeptoe slingbacks, 1950s pearl drop earrings, double-strand pearl bracelet (a choker necklace repurposed), gold Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses

Royal/T is an amazing space in Culver City.  It's part cafe--part art gallery--part boutique, so it's a feast for the eyes no matter where you look.  It's described as L.A.'s first Japanese-style cosplay cafe, which is carried through to the hot maid uniforms that the waitresses wear.  It's really something.

An order of unbelievably good french toast for me

Had to stop by Royal T's famous Porta-Party, complete with disco ball and iPod to dance to inside

Finally vacating the Porta-Party and heading on out to another gorgeous day in Los Angeles

Happy birthday, Shane!
