Out and About--Lunch at Santa Monica Beach

The weather has been absolutely glorious in Southern California over the past few weeks and I love it.  It's as if summer finally awoke, not quite realizing that it's already mid-October.  My cousin, Emily, and I conspired to celebrate the beauty of the day along with one another's recent hard work.  One option we discussed was the Veuve-Cliquot Polo Classic being held over at Will Rogers State Park.  It's a park I know extremely well from hiking and its hefty Hollywood history.  First to the beach for a ride up to the field...

GlamAmor Classics for Polo:  (On me) 1950s blue floral silk dress, 1960s black patent leather purse, J. Crew skinny black patent leather belt, Steve Madden black patent leather flats, gold hoop earrings, gold Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses.

(On Emily) Emily's new GlamAmor 1960s navy and white pique A-line dress, 1960s navy patent leather handbag, gold stud earrings, navy Tory Burch flats, Kate Spade tortiseshell sunglasses.

Everyone waiting...and waiting...and waiting...far too long for the ride up to the park.  Hmmm what do you think, Em...change of venue?

Yes! Racing along the Pacific Coast Highway in the new convertible instead and hitting Ocean Avenue for lunch.

Lunch at the Blue Plate Oysterette on Ocean, which is known for its wonderful fresh seafood and beer

Loved this girl's style...can you see she's wearing one yellow shoe and one red shoe with her navy polkadot dress?

A great combination of textures inside the beachy restaurant

Not necessarily how we thought the day would unfold, but lovely nonetheless.  Thanks Em!
