GlamAmor Welcomes Intern Amy!

I'm so happy to welcome Amy Beard, intern extraordinaire, to GlamAmor!  Amy comes with both blogging and fashion design school experience, most recently interning for Jaya Apparel Group and working on the super stylish Elizabeth and James line.  After being behind-the-scenes of such a big organization, Amy wanted to work in a smaller start-up so she could learn about creating a company and be much more hands-on in the production process.  The timing could not be more perfect as GlamAmor will be launching its vintage-inspired Originals collection in time for the Spring 2012 market.

Amy will assist with all aspects of the GlamAmor brand--original clothing, vintage clothing, the style blog, and social media.  I am already enjoying her contributions since we share several of the same interests.  For example, I could not believe more strongly in GlamAmor being MADE IN AMERICA....many of those reasons are discussed in an earlier article of mine.  This is an issue that stirs Amy deeply as well.  I also admire the Golden Age of Hollywood and derive much of my classic style from its influence.  Amy is rare in that she understands the full history of design and appreciates classic style in particular.  And we both have a deep respect for organization and process, so we are already complementing one another as we delve into the many details of manufacturing.

Amy's favorite quote has become a favorite of mine as well...

Out of the clutter, find simplicity.  From discord, find harmony.  In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.  --Einstein

I couldn't agree more.  Welcome Amy!
