Sunday Night Mad Men Fix
I don't know about you, but I have been missing my Sunday nights filled with the astonishing art production of AMC's Mad Men. I suppose a little withdrawl is in order. After all, I had become quite accustomed to week after week of inspirational images from the 1960s...many of them provided by Janie Bryant's brilliant costume design.
Well in lieu of the show, here are her tips on how to bring the looks of Mad Men to life. It's not a surprise that I agree with many of her sentiments, especially about dressing up whenever possible and that the sheath dress is every girl's friend. What's interesting, though, is that all the pieces she recommends are new. I think it's great to show how much modern design is influenced by vintage, but I believe this was a missed opportunity to mention how great vintage pieces can be in any woman's wardrobe.
Of course you all know my philosophy--why buy copies when you can get the originals? Add classic quality 1950s and 1960s vintage clothing to your wardrobe from GlamAmor. You'll love it!
